Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith Movie
Rated PG13
Genre: Space science fiction rating: 11+

This is number 3 of six in the series, but released 6th which is confusing to anyone who watched the original series in the 1970’s. Annikin Skywalker is an impatient Jedi. He wants what he wants when he wants it, despite what the elders say. Anikin has been denied becoming a Master Jedi. Anakin is separated from Obi-wan Kenobi and becomes friendly with Palpatine who, unknown to most, is a Sith Lord. He marries Padme which is against the Jedi rules. She is pregnant with Luke and Leia when he switches to the dark side. Padme cannot believe he has turned evil and travels to Mustafar where the new Vader accuses her of betrayal and uses the Force choke on her until she is unconscious. Obi-wan has stowed away in her ship and confronts Vader. They duel. In the end, Obi-wan severs Vader’s legs and arm. Vader falls into the lava and is slowly and painfully burned.

The Star Wars series is so inconsistent as far as audiences are concerned. Star Wars I is almost a comic book with its silly characters and voices. This one is It is rated PG13 and plays close to an R rating in my opinion. We have let our two sons watch all of the Star Wars series except this one. The scene where the character that we still identify as Anikin falls into the lava is just too graphic. I was surprised that gives this movie a 11+ rating. I found this movie very difficult to watch for all of its graphic violence. I give this movie a PG16 rating.
